‘You Know Nothing About Sports’: Jake Paul’s Lionel Messi-Muhammad Ali GOAT Tweet Draws Wild Reactions

Qatar FIFA World Cup 2022 is over, but the aftereffects of the outstanding final still persists. Fans from all over the world have witnessed some nail-biting thrills and magnificent performances from Lionel Messi. Sportspersons from other fields also got infected with Football fever and posted something on Social media. Popular Youtuber-turned-Boxer Jake Paul has drawn the ire of fans after posting about soccer.  After Messi’s magnificent performance helped to win Argentina the FIFA World Cup 2022, Paul posted a controversial tweet comparing Messi to Michael Jordan. This morning Paul tweeted about Messi being the greatest athlete ever. But fans did not take it lightly and attacked Paul instantly as they are not ready to believe that. As always, Jake Paul loves to be at the center of attraction, through his comments. But this time he got into some trouble, as fans from all around the world gave some savage replies to his post. He also mentioned Muhammad Ali in the post.

Jake Paul’s post made some hilarious reactions

Youtuber-turned-Pro Boxer, Jake Paul said, “Hard to admit as an American..but Messi may be the greatest athlete ever. 5’7, 148 lbs..Greatest non-penalty scorer of all time, greatest assister of all time. In a sport that has more people playing it than any other. GAOAT. Agree?  Muhammad Ali still the most impactful though.” 

In that post, he applauded one of the greatest footballers ever, Messi, for yesterday’s performance. Also, he compared him with Muhammad Ali and called Messi ‘Greatest Athlete Of All Time’ or ‘GAOAT’

Fans reacted to Jake Paul’s post

Fans gave mixed reactions to the post. According to some people, Paul is right while others completely blew away Paul. 

Someone named Beliveland commented that Paul knew nothing about sports, the greatest athletes are Bo Jackson, Michael Jordan, Deion Sanders & LeBron James.

Someone named Jason criticized both Paul and Messi, and said that Phelps, LeBron, Jordan, Wilt, Bolt, etc.  are great adding that Messi is not GOAT.

Real Estate agent, Hunter Finner commented that he would nominate NFL superstar Tom Brady for the moniker of ‘GAOAT’. 

One fan named Connor said that Muhammed Ali, Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, Tom Brady, Mike Tyson, and Floyd Mayweather are great. 

Popular British Actor, Philip Michael also shared his views and said that  Usain Bolt was the ‘MOST ACCOMPLISHED’ sportsperson in his field, although he’s not the best pure athlete. 

Someone also hilariously criticized Americans as the NFL is different from the original football. He said that there was nothing  more ‘cringe’ than Americans talking about football.

It was all Argentina’s night yesterday. With some magical goals from Messi and De Maria, Argentina became the World Champion in 2022. It was Messi’s last World Cup. All the sportspersons that were discussed in this article are great in their respective fields  . Muhammad Ali is not comparable to Lionel Messi and moreover you can not compare him with Usain Bolt.
