“You Hold That Crown”: Years After Achieving Amazing Feat That Even Mike Tyson Failed to Do Twice, Heavyweight Legend Offers to Train Future Champions and Fans Are All Up for It

Twice Mike Tyson faced Evander Holyfield inside the professional ring. In the first fight, fought in 1996, champion Tyson suffered an 11th-round TKO after Holyfield rattled ‘Kid Dynamite’ with a left hook to the head and a powerful straight right hand to the chin. Following this loss, Tyson challenged Holyfield to a rematch in June 1997. Having been overpowered from the beginning, Tyson took recourse to biting his opponent. As a result, he was disqualified.

While Tyson, who bemoaned the fact that his children didn’t watch his fights, could never beat ‘The Real Deal’, the former undisputed Heavyweight champion Riddick Bowe defeated Holyfield twice. Bowe’s last fight against Holyfield was in 1995 and he won the contest via a TKO in the ring. Taking to Instagram, Bowe declared that he was “Officially training heavyweights and middleweight fighters“. In this context, he instructed “serious” athletes to inbox him.

Following his 1995 victory over Holyfield, Bowe fought Andrew Golota twice. Twice Golota was disqualified for continuously landing low blows. Reacting to Bowe’s latest post, one said, “Sorry champ but I’m already inked with Golota but I’ll take on whoever you find champ.”
