Boxing icon Manny Pacquiao recently spoke to the Manila Bulletin as a senator of the Philippines. He expressed grave concern over the spread of the coronavirus. The threat that the pandemic poses is growing by the second, with no sign of a cure or solution as yet.
The “Pac Man” stated that he will do everything possible to help his people survive through these difficult times. He expressed uneasiness about the COVID-19 and the drastic impact that it has had throughout the globe.
Yet, like the true warrior and fighter that he is, he said that he is ‘not afraid to die’ whilst leading his people away from disease and misery.

According to him, a shortage of supply will lead to a huge problem, especially for those on the streets. And this might just lead to looting and riots. The fighter’s fears may be true, as the situation worldwide is taking a face of desperation. Yet, he said that he feels for those on the streets, and can draw on personal experiences because of a poor childhood.
He said, “If you are a leader, you have to be a front-liner. You have to lead people and let people see that you are with them. I grew up poor. I know what they feel.”
According to the Manila Bulletin, Manny Pacquiao also stated that 50,000 Coronavirus testing kits are on their way from China to help improve the efficiency of the medical institutions in battling the belligerent pandemic.

With a record of 62-7-2, Manny is already one of the greatest boxers to walk the Earth. He last fought Keith Thurman in Las Vegas. Thurman was on an unbeaten streak before he crossed paths with the Pac Man. And the rest is history.
