Once great friends and partners, now both are standing apart, pointing in each other’s direction, trying to rip apart the reputation of the other. The whole ruckus started with Ryan Garcia‘s interview with Bradley Martyn, where he revealed his true feelings about being left alone in the post-fight conference after the Gervonta Davis fight. Well, his statements sparked a fire that took over social media for a good few hours. His promoter, Oscar De La Hoya, tweeted in response to Garcia’s statements, and then the back and forth between the boxer and promoter started.

Garcia stated that his team was against him during the fight and he felt all alone at that time. Even, during the post-fight conference he got to know who had his back and who didn’t. Garcia even went on to say that ‘Tank’s’ team was more supportive of him than his own. So it begs the question, will Garcia leave ‘The Golden Boy Promotions’? How did De La Hoya react to these statements?
Oscar De La Hoya and Ryan Garcia ridicule each other on the internet
After De La Hoya saw the interview, he went on to Twitter, where he called out Garcia for still being upset about the conference, after two months. Then he stated that the significant reason behind Garcia’s loss against ‘Tank’ was the rehydration clause, and advised Garcia to “man up” and take up the real blame for his loss.
Wtf @RyanGarcia it’s been almost two months and youre still crying about the post presser? The blame for your loss is on YOU and your “advisor”Lupe. He is the only one who pushed you to accept that INSANE rehydration clause and THAT is the reason you lost. Man up. Own that.

Then he made a second Tweet, addressing Garcia’s statements about Davis’s team being more supportive than his own. De La Hoya stated that ‘Tank’s’ team paved a path for Garcia to lose by setting up that rehydration clause. And then he also revealed that Tank’s promoter, Al Haymon, “never shows up“, while De La Hoya was always there to support him.
Also, you keep saying “tanks team offered more support for you” blah blah blah. Bro they SET YOU UP TO LOSE with that rehydration clause and most importantly…AL HAYMON DIDNT EVEN SHOW UP THE ENTIRE WEEK. Actually, he NEVER shows up. How’s that for “support”???

Now obviously, both individuals are struggling to be on the same team, recently Garcia also showed his frustration about De La Hoya pitching Manny Pacquiao for his next fight. So they’re quite close to breaking apart, and their feud didn’t just end here, Garcia continued it on Twitter as he brought up De La Hoya’s picture with Rolly Romero.

A few days ago, De La Hoya posted a photo with Rolly Romero, after Garcia announced his interest in taking him on in his next fight. But now, Garcia has responded to the picture in his deleted tweet, and Garcia even said to De La Hoya, “You don’t care about your fighters” and he’s “really tired of this fake act“.
‘The Golden Boy’ replied to this tweet, that whatever he did was for promoting, and he was only doing his job.
It’s called promoting, who do you think sparked the fight week press conference when it was like being at a funeral. My job is to promote your job is to fight. No lost love

Then there was again a follow-up reply by Garcia where he brought up the fake ‘PacMan’ bout. And how he tried to pitch in after he refused to fight the Filipino legend.
Weren’t you just promoting the fake Pac fight that I already told you I’m not accepting. You really think ima fall for that bull twice.

Finally, De La Hoya ended the argument by telling him to stop fighting on the internet, and sit man-to-man to resolve the issues between them.
