If influencer boxing matchups are meant to entertain their patrons, last night’s KSI vs. Tommy Fury fight failed to understand the assignment. The six rounds of the matchup saw both fighters hardly meet the hype they created ahead of their fight. At the end of it all, Tommy Fury stood tall as the victor but most found the judges’ decision contentious.
The majority decision victory for Tommy came as a shocker, more so because a point was deducted from the 24-year-old boxer in the second round. But the judges felt that among the two, Fury managed to impress them more than KSI. Meanwhile, in the wake of his loss, KSI also invited plenty of criticism for the way the fight went. Leading on this front is his biggest rival, Jake Paul.

When ‘JJ’ entered the ring last night. he was not just hoping to win the fight against ‘TNT’. He also came with the hopes to indirectly prove to the world that he was better than the ‘Problem Child’. For a while now, JJ has been asking for a fight against Paul. But the latter has never obliged. A win over Fury, who gave Paul his first loss this February, would have given KSI the bragging rights over Paul. However, it was not meant to be.
When reality dawned, KSI had lost his fight against TNT. But he had also lost his opportunity to prove to the world that he was better than the ‘Problem Child’. In response, Paul took the opportunity to rub salt in the wounds of his long-standing enemy.
