During the podcast, Teofimo shed light on a surprising proposition he received from OnlyFans. The platform, traditionally associated with adult content, attempted to lure the boxer with a lucrative six-figure offer. The charismatic boxer, known for his exceptional skills in the ring and outspoken attitude outside it, also revealed the principled stance that he took during a candid conversation on the ‘Porter Way Podcast’. As he put it, “It’s about the kids at the end of the day.”

In a snippet from the podcast which was shared recently on Instagram, Teofimo Lopez revealed the nature of the offer and his reply to it. The show hosted by the two-time welterweight champion Shawn Porter had Lopez on as a guest a few weeks ago. While talking about the role influential people have in society and what that responsibility entails, Lopez said, “You just got to really work on your avenue. You got to know your market, right. We all are walking billboard of advertisement.“ He then went on to add, “I had Onlyfans try to offer me six figures.”

However, Lopez promptly declined, citing his commitment to maintaining a positive image for his younger fan base. “I said no. They said well why not? We’re going to give you more. I said listen, I can’t do that, it’s not what I do,” revealed the Takeover.

In a sport where endorsements and sponsorships can significantly impact an athlete’s financial standing, turning down such an offer is no small feat. Lopez recognizes the influence he holds, particularly among the younger generation. Thus, as he revealed, it was important for him to maintain the clean familial image that he has fought hard to cultivate.
