In late 2021, Kanye West was boycotted by a lot of companies and Adidas was one of them. West had his own line of shoes, that was famous by the name of ‘Yeezy’. They were part of Adidas, but now ‘Yeezy’ shoes are not available in the market anymore. West had to face a lot of difficulties due to some of the anti-Semitic comments he made on the internet last year and as a result, he lost a good chunk of business partnerships. But the damage has been taken on both sides, as Adidas also saw a fateful decline in its sales.

Four-division boxing champion Adrien Broner shared some quotes from the rapper’s past to express his support towards him. West has always been against the ‘cancel culture’, and now, Broner has made it evident that he too isn’t in support of censorship of any sort. The other day, West was in hot waters again as he was accused of “betrayal” by Drake on Mike Tyson’s podcast.

As reported by BBC, the company Adidas has reportedly experienced a huge decline of 20% in sales solely in North America, and this was particularly because of the unavailability of Kanye West’s ‘Yeezy’ shoes. Adidas chief executive Bjorn Gulden stated that the end of ‘Yeezy’ is “of course hurting us“. But they’ve been firm about their beliefs that the company doesn’t have any tolerance for any kind of hate speech.

But Adrien Broner doesn’t believe in boycotting a person like that, and that’s the reason he shared a powerful message on his Instagram Story. West went on a podcast, REVOLT, on November 5, 2021, a month ago before all of the ruckus. In one segment, he talked about how nobody can tell black people what to do now and how they cannot ‘cancel’ anybody.
