Gervonta Davis vs. Ryan Garcia‘s fight has finally become a sure-shot event that is going to happen on April 22. The fight was prolonged for a long time now, due to some hiccups in the negotiations of the fight contract. Now finally that doesn’t seem to be the problem. However, the venue still needs to be decided upon. Both the fighters will be putting their zero-loss record on the line for this fight, and that’s what makes it more interesting.
And for that reason, a lot of people are waiting with bated breath for this fight as this would decide who’s the best among these two legendary fighters in the lightweight division. Even the current undisputed champion of the lightweight division, Devin Haney, has given his views on the clash between these two fierce warriors. Recently, Canelo Alvarez also spoke out about the Tank vs Garcia fight.

Devin Haney, in his interview with the iD Boxing, spoke about both boxers in high regard, and he said that ‘Tank’ obviously has more experience than Garcia but still ‘The Flash KingRy’ cannot be overlooked according to his opinion.
Haney said, “I mean the safe bet is Tank but um you know you cannot sleep on Ryan, he definitely can punch, he’s showing that, but we don’t know we’ll just have to see.”
The reporter then asked the Undisputed Champion whether he’d be open to fighting with the winner of this bout, in the coming future. To which he responded, “Yeah of course of course I mean that’s what’s on the agenda, you know hopefully, we can you know make the fight happen after but we just got to see.”
He was also asked who he would prefer to fight among the two men. And Haney answered in two words to that question, ‘the winner’.
Right now, Haney is preparing for his fight on May 20th against Vasyl Lomachenko.

Haney has been calling out Vasyl Lomachenko for a long time now, but now he has finally agreed to take Devin up on his challenge. But this can turn out to be a disadvantage for Lomachenko.
As Haney said, “I told him [Lomachenko] a long time ago, ‘Fight me now because it’s only going to get worse.’ Right now, I’m just a different breed of fighter right now. I’m a much more mature fighter than I was when I was calling him out years and years ago, even though I still think I would have won.”
