The main event in Texas witnessed an epic battle between Yordenis Ugas and Errol Spence Jr. In the end, Spence won the fight and snatched the titles from Ugas. But during the fight, Ugas got a serious eye injury because of which he had to go under treatment.

In his recent tweet, Yordenis Ugas updated the status of his ongoing treatment for his eye. Ugas thanked all his well-wishers and also mentioned the difficulties he went through during the treatment.

In his tweet, he quoted, “Thanks to everyone who is sending in their prayers. My eye was like this closed and bleeding for almost 40 hours, it looked like tears of blood, but now it is open. In the next few days, with God’s favor, when the swelling and bruising are at zero, we will go back to the doctor…”

Ugas seems to heal from his severe injury and will treat it further until it’s fully recovered.

When Errol Spence Jr. injured the eye of Yordenis Ugas

Yordenis Ugas was asked to discontinue the fight in the 10th round as his eye was in a critical condition. The Truth won the match via a TKO marking his 28th win in professional boxing.

The boxing fans were curious to know when Ugas’ eye got injured. It was not known to anyone until Ugas revealed this to himself on his Twitter account.

According to Ugas, he suffered an eye injury in the 7th round of the fight. Despite his injury, he carried on fighting with Spence till the 10th round until the officials stopped him from fighting further.

Yordenis Ugas displayed a good fighting spirit against Spence with an injured eye and entertained the boxing fans.

Well, the fans and the boxing fraternity wish him a speedy recovery, and hope to see Ugas return to the ring soon. It will be exciting to see his comeback in the ring when he recovers.
