And his love for boxing has fueled his reign at the top, even after numerous setbacks and unfortunate life decisions he made. But all of that is behind him.
In a recent interview, Fury opened up about an addiction, which is way more powerful than any alcohol or drugs present in the world.
What is this strong addiction, according to Tyson Fury?

Fury recently came as a guest on the High-Performance podcast. And, while on the podcast, the ‘Gypsy King’ opened up about his driving forces which keep him inside the ring and training in the gym for what’s next. And, while talking about it, he stated that the thrill of competing against another “trained” athlete is an addiction that is much stronger than any other thing.
Fury said, “I don’t think there’s any drug or alcohol that can give you the same effect as going one on one with another trained athlete.” He further gave a brief explanation of what it feels like to exchange blows with someone inside the boxing ring.
And, it’s the feeling of scared, happy, sad, frightened, anxiety, everything rolled in one, so how powerful is that.” Tyson said.
The time Fury almost drove off a bridge
Tyson has been open about his struggles with mental health and addiction. After he defeated Klitschko, Fury was in a dark place as he had already achieved all he wanted to. He felt like there was no meaning left in his life.

Contemplating suicide, addicted to drugs, and weighing 400 pounds. Fury was not the same person as he is today. Driving his Ferrari in the summer of 2016, Fury was ready to drive off the bridge when a thought hit him. And he hated the idea of dying as a weak man. This story of Fury still sends shivers down the spine of everyone who hears it. And, since then, Fury has changed his life and is now a strong advocate of mental health.
