Mike Tyson has seen his fair share of adversities in his life and boxing career! Whether it’s his struggles with the law or his tumultuous relationship with drugs and alcoholism, Tyson has lived and fought through it all. However, what truly sets his legacy apart from others is how he pulled his life together afterward. 

Back in August 2013, the former ‘Baddest Man on the Planet’ confessed, “I don’t want to die. I’m on the verge of dying because I’m a vicious alcoholic.” Fast forward to 2024, and Tyson owns a cannabis brand named Tyson 2.0 and is living a rather peaceful life. So, while appearing in the last season of his popular Hotboxin podcast, Tyson opened up about his struggles and owning the biggest cannabis brand! 

Mike Tyson bonds over legacy with Rick Ross

In the latest episode of his podcast, Tyson invited renowned rapper, entrepreneur, and record executive Rick Ross. When the rapper was talking about his hustle in the music industry to create his legacy, Tyson promptly added, “I understand that.” Having spent years building his own legacy, Tyson felt he could relate to Ross’ struggles.

He confessed, “One time, I was this f**king guy, [the] baddest guy [on] the [planet], whatever. I went through my adversity—drugs all f**ked up—and I didn’t give up.” However, with hard work and sheer determination, Tyson managed to turn his life around, so he added, “I came back, [and] now I [have] the biggest cannabis company in the world…”

Speaking about Tyson’s cannabis brand, he has recently launched a new venture that could benefit home growers.

After partnering with several heavy hitters in the industry, like Ric Flair, Hulk Hogan, and former rival Evander Holyfield, to produce ready-to-consume products, Tyson has turned his attention to the seed business. According to a report from Forbes, ‘Iron’ Mike unveiled his new partnership with Royal Queen Seeds in February.

This new collaboration will allow consumers to procure seeds online for the initial six different cannabis strains offered by Tyson and the famed pot seed bank. RQS has been producing seeds for their consumers since 2007, with 250 independently owned stores located in Amsterdam, Barcelona, Bangkok, and New York.

Though Mike Tyson hasn’t had the best relationship with drugs, his love for cannabis seems to have landed him in the right spot in life.
