Is Hulk Hogan right to worry about Mike Tyson's safety against Jake Paul, or is he overreacting?

Once feared by all, the tables seem to have turned for legendary Mike Tyson ahead of the mega cross-generational bout against influencer turned boxing sensation Jake Paul. The duo is slated to lock horns on November 15th at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Meanwhile, WWE Hall of Fame wrestler Hulk Hogan has shared his concerns about Tyson’s health in the fight.

And he is not alone in his fears, to say the least. ‘Iron’ Mike suffered a medical emergency a while back during a cross-country flight, which further made people worry about his age and ability to compete in the ring. As it turns out, ‘Hollywood Hogan’ was one of them, which came to light in the latest episode of Logan Paul’s ‘Impaulsive’ podcast.

‘Strong’ Jake Paul is the main reason for Hogan’s concern

Even before he took a seat during the podcast, Hogan, a friend of Iron Mike, couldn’t wait to share his concerns for Mike Tyson for the much-anticipated bout. “Your brother is too strong, bro,” Hogan said, his voice tinged with genuine fear. This prompted Logan to highlight Jake’s intense training regimen, which may or may not be overshadowed by Jake’s appearance.

Logan explained that ‘The Problem Child’ trains with crazy weights in the gym, which is impressive on its own, but more importantly, signifies the kind of power his younger brother packs. Logan even brought up Jake’s new and improved left hand. He said, “No, seriously, and he has a left hand now that looks like it’s firing off.”

Having watched Mike Tyson demolish one opponent after the other, and being a die-hard fan of the former heavyweight champion, ‘Thunder Lips’ had to fully voice his concerns. With an extreme sense of worry on his face, the legendary wrestler said, “I love Mike to death. I don’t want him [Jake] to kill Mike, Jesus.” However, here’s something interesting, Hogan’s outlook on the same fight was a bit different not too long ago.

In June 2024, WWE legend Hulk Hogan threw his support behind Mike Tyson, ahead of the highly anticipated fight. Despite Tyson’s recent health scare, Hogan dismissed concerns, stating in an interview with TMZ Sports, “When he gets focused, he will seek and destroy.” Hogan emphasized Tyson’s enduring strength, noting, “I see that bad dog look in his eye now.”

“It’s like when you don’t trust a bad dog, it might bite ya at any time. That’s the look he’s got,” he continued. While Hogan acknowledged his relationship with both fighters, he seemed particularly confident in Tyson’s chances, given his fierce determination and legendary status. “This is gonna be the fight of the century, brothers,” Hogan further predicted confidently.

It appears Hulk Hogan’s view of the Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson fight has changed drastically during his appearance on the ‘Impaulsive’ podcast. However, which prediction of his would come to fruition is yet to be seen. Do you think Tyson needs to be afraid? Or do you think “bad dog” Mike will maul the problem out of ‘The Problem Child?’
