The face of the lightweight division, Teofimo Lopez, recently shared a happy news piece with his fans. Lopez’s wife, Cynthia Lopez, is pregnant and the entire family is expecting a baby boy this time.
‘The Takeover’, who is one of the most active fighters on the planet, keeps himself relevant to the fight world with his stint. He also stays highly active on his social handles and shares snippets of his life with one and all. That said, he couldn’t sustain himself from posting about this news.
And as a result, he shared a picture of his wife on his Twitter handle and wrote, “The Legacy continues! Teofimo the “IV” #MrMrsLopez #MyLife”

Lopez was all set to defend his multiple lightweight straps against George Kambosos Jr. on June 19th. However, he succumbed to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, and that’s why his fight with Kambosos Jr. got pushed ahead. Hence, he’s currently paying attention to his health and overall wellbeing.

As soon as Lopez put this photo on Twitter, many boxing fans congratulated him and wished good health for the baby and his wife.
‘The Takeover’ would like to welcome his child into this world by scoring a sensational win against the Australian boxer on August 14th. He will have a massive responsibility on his shoulders this time as he will want to prove that his win over ‘The Matrix’ wasn’t a fluke. Therefore, the lightweight star will certainly look to leave it all in the ring.
Teofimo Lopez is waiting to shock the world again
In his last fight, the young gun went all guns blazing against the stout lightweight Vasyl Lomachenko. Being an underdog, Lopez didn’t really have significant support from fans and fighters around the world. However, he shook everyone with his performance in that fight, as he eventually claimed a gratifying win.
Now, he’d look forward to continuing that momentum once again for his fight against Kambosos Jr. This is his first prime title defense fight, and ‘The Takeover’ will only want to get his hand raised as the winner.
