WBC (Super), lineal, and The Ring middleweight champion Saul “Canelo” Alvarez recently posted a photo of him on his Instagram account captioned, “Just keep going.”
Alvarez is seen training in this picture while displaying his new bulkier physique. A possible fight at super-middleweight could be next, going by his size in the photo.

Canelo Alvarez (53-1-2, 36 KOs) is a four-weight world champion and one of the best pound-for-pound fighters. He has won titles ranging from super-welterweight to light-heavyweight.

His last bout was in the light-heavyweight division against the WBO light-heavyweight champion Sergey Kovalev. Alvarez won the bout by eleventh-round knockout.
There are multiple names on the list for Canelo’s return. The WBO super-middleweight champ Billy Joe Saunders, and the WBA (Super) and Ring magazine super-middleweight titleholder Callum Smith are at the top. A trilogy bout with Gennady Golovkin could also take place.
What is the current status of Canelo Alvarez?
As of now, Alvarez is sitting on the sidelines. Recently, he tried to sue Oscar De La Hoya, Golden Boy Promotions, and streaming service DAZN. Alvarez explained that a breach of contract was the reason for his action.

With Alvarez’s strained relationship with his promoter, it is difficult to say when he will make his return to the ring.

Over 24 hours ago, the World Boxing Council delayed the purse bid for Alvarez vs Yildirim. That means Canelo might have to wait for a while before he gets back in the ring again.
