It has barely been a week since Francis Ngannou took on the biggest challenge of his life. Yet, the boxing world can’t stop talking about Ngannou’s exceptional performance against Tyson Fury. While Fury took home the win officially, Ngannou became the people’s champion. It opened up a plethora of doors for the former UFC Heavyweight champion, including potential future fights with formidable opponents. One of those opponents is Derek Chisora!
The 34-13 record holder recently appeared in an interview with iFL TV, praising the ‘Predator’ for his fantastic performance against Tyson Fury. It’s also worth mentioning that this opinion is common amongst everyone in the boxing industry. However, praise wasn’t the only thing Chisora had for Ngannou. While talking about a potential fight against the Cameroonian mixed martial artist, Chisora boldly predicted what would happen if Ngannou and him entered the ring.

While expressing his eagerness to fight again, the reporter questioned Chisora if he would perform better against Ngannou than Tyson Fury. In response, the Zimbabwean boxer boldly asserted it would be a great fight, but he would knock out Ngannou. “Would be a great fight, and I’ll knock him out,” said Chisora. In addition, later in the interview, Chisora suggested Ngannou caught Fury on a bad. “He just caught Tyson Fury on a bad day,” Chisora told iFL TV.
When probed further about Ngannou’s performance during the fight with Tyson Fury, Chisora asserted that everyone was impressed, citing Ngannou’s ability to hold his own in the fight. “Listen, everybody was impressed, man. He held himself very well,” said Chisora. He went as far as to claim that he predicted the exact result of the fight, but no one believed him. “I said he was going to drop Tyson in the first two-three rounds, and everybody looked at me, like oh stupid,” said Chisora.
Long-time representative claims Ngannou will make f*** you money
It was a big risk for the former UFC Heavyweight champion to fight the WBC Heavyweight champion. However, it paid off for Ngannou in a big way, as he made the biggest purse ever, which towers over what he used to make in UFC. The same thing was confirmed in a recent interview when Ngannou’s long-time representative, Marquel Martin, appeared in MMA Hour.

Moreover, he suggested Ngannou has a lot more options for his next fight, and he’s “going to make that f*** you money.” While there is no clarity on who ‘The Predator’ would fight next, talks of Ngannou facing Anthony Joshua, John Jones, and Deontay Wilder are floating around in the boxing scene.
