From action inside the ring to action outside the ring, a popular name in the boxing community, Ray Jackson, stays in the mix with everything around the sport. However, in a surprising twist, the boxing influencer has revealed that Chicago Sky All-Star and double-double queen Angel Reese has blocked him on X.
Besides boxing, the man known for his love for WBA lightweight champion Gervonta Davis a little too much has previously tweeted about Reese every now and again. However, nothing hinted at Reese holding a grudge against Jackson for his views. So, the move from Reese came as a surprise for Jackson—that too on the first day of 2025.
Earlier today, Jackson took to X, where the controversial influencer can be often found sharing his thoughts, to reveal the news to his followers. “I got blocked by Angel Reese to start off 2025…,” he wrote while sharing a screenshot for evidence. Some fans in the comment section speculated Jackson may have said something derogatory.

However, Jackson denied doing anything of that sort. “This time idk lol,” Jackson explained in the comments. When another follower pressed, Ray Jackson once again replied, “😂😂😂 Im innocent this time.” Reese hasn’t addressed her move, as of the time of writing. Regardless, Reese is expected to play in the new 3-vs-3 professional basketball league, Unrivaled, this month as part of the Rose Basketball Club. The league will run for eight weeks in Maimi, consisting of 36 players spread across six different teams.
However, Jackson is not the first to be blocked by the 22-year-old.

You see, back on August 28th, former WNBA player Val Whiting turned to X with the shock of a lifetime. “Uh what’s going on?” she asked, sharing a screenshot similar to what Jackson shared on X today. “Why would Angel Reese block me? I’ve battled on this app for her.” Within hours, a WNBA fan provided her with an answer she had forgotten about.
The fan responded with a screenshot of Whiting’s tweets from a month prior where she was criticizing the Chicago Sky star rookie. “Angel Reese is not even close to being good enough to be on the team. Stop,” she had written in one of the tweets she posted on the platform. This led to the fan asking Whiting why she was surprised with the revelation.
However, it’s also worth noting that Whiting had supported the 22-year-old in the past. When Reese was facing score-padding accusations a while back, the Minnesota Lynx player defended her on the same platform. “In one sequence, Angel Reese just repeatedly out worked 3 Aces players (two players 6’5) to get rebounds off of her own misses. Argue with a wall if you don’t think that takes talent and skill,” she had noted.

That being said, while the exact reason why Angel Reese may have blocked Ray Jackson is currently unknown, her actions in the past suggest Jackson may have tweeted something she didn’t like, which is nothing new for Jackson. Why do you think Reese blocked Jackson?
