Canelo Alvarez has only had 2 losses throughout his career. One was back in 2013 at the hand of Floyd Mayweather Jr. and the other last year against Dimitry Bivol. Though he lost both of the fights to the judge’s decision, these fights can help his opponents figure out his possible weakness. So recently in an interview with FightHype.com, Charlo was asked if he plans on using the lessons from ‘Cinnamon’s’ losses for his upcoming bout.
Charlo replied, “Of course, everybody gon go watch their fight and look at what they got going on and see what he did and the mistakes he made and try to capitalize…”.
He also added that Canelo has grown from the fights and might have made some changes in his style that need to be accounted for. However, he also reminded that Alvarez needs to figure him out as well.
Floyd Mayweather on Alvarez slowing down
Alvarez hasn’t had any knockouts in a while now, thus fans are starting to question his place as one of the best in the sport. His being unable to knock out both John Ryder and GGG caused a lot of fans to claim that he is slowing down. Mayweather, the first man to defeat the Mexican icon, recently gave his two cents on the claims.
He stated that he was 36 years old when he faced Canelo, and the latter already had a record of 43 fights by that time. He gave a reminder about how Canelo attributed his loss to having less experience.

Mayweather further added, “When I was 23 and if I had 47 fights, I would have been a monster.” Mayweather retired with a record of 50-0. Meanwhile, Alvarez already has had more than 60 fights, and he is 33 years old.
