The promoter is leveraging the stellar record Andy brings to the table from his amateur days. He struck gold at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo in the Lightweight division against Keyshawn Davis in the delayed games in August 2021. He also carries the record of 140-9.

It was the clash of the two Cubans that went on to keep boxing enthusiasts on the edge of their seats. Most expected a well-seasoned and experienced boxer like Carlos to take home the title. But Andy Cruz took the win with a decision of 100-90, 100-90, and 98-92 in his favor.
