Boxing legend supports Haney as he slams fans
Recently, three-division world champion Julio Cesar Chavez Sr gave his verdict about the fight between Haney and Lomachenko.In an interview with Boxing Social, The legend claims that the result is correct and Haney is the deserving winner of the fight. This might come as a shock to the boxing world and many personalities who were supporting Loma.
Chavez gave his decision and claimed that without “sentimentality,” Haney won the fight. On his Instagram, The ‘Dream’ shared the statement the 60-year-old gave. And he added a message to the fans who still think that the Ukrainian deserved to win the fight. The 24-year-old wrote, “Chavez said get out y’all feelings.”
This fight still proves to be controversial in the boxing world. And many fans might even want a rematch between the two. However, the fans were impressed by the performance Lomachenko was able to put up in front of the reigning champion, And that’s why many fans favored the 35-year-old to prevail in the unanimous decision.

Since the fight, the fans have been eager to know if there will be a rematch between the two and if ‘Hi-Tech’ will get a chance to redeem himself. However, Loma’s manager filed a plea contesting the decision of the fight and is trying for Loma to become the mandatory challenger for Haney’s titles. But there has been no official announcement as of now.
