YouTuber turned boxer Jake Paul is all the talk these days—whether it’s inside the ring or outside of it. Now, even big-shot celebrities can’t keep the 27-year-old’s name out of their mouths. In a surprising twist, Chris Rock did a monologue on Saturday Night Live, where he poked fun at ‘The Problem Child’ for fighting a 58-year-old Mike Tyson.

Just to recap, ‘El Gallo’ defeated ‘Iron’ Mike on November 15th in Texas via unanimous decision in what turned out to be an utter disappointment wrapped in a veil of a professional boxing match. It became the fight with the most concurrent viewers in the sport’s history and set a new gate revenue record in the state.

Regardless, since Rock’s monologue on SNL, Paul’s promotional company Most Valuable Promotions has roped in Will Smith, taking a sly dig at Rock for making fun of Jake Paul. So, the question is, what did Rock say? “It’s been a bad year for my people—blacks,” Rock began. He lamented about presidential candidate Kamala Harris losing the elections.

He even mentioned Sean John Combs, a.k.a disgraced music mogul P. Diddy, because of his plethora of sexual assault lawsuits. However, Tyson’s loss to Jake Paul seems to have especially affected the standup comedian/actor. “What the hell? Who is this Jake Paul? A 27-year-old punching a 60-year-old man in the face?” Chris Rock continued.

“Is this what the white man has reduced him to?” he asked, noting, “Stop it! Who’s he gonna fight next Morgan Freeman? I hate Jake Paul.” Soon after this, MVP shared the clip of Rock’s monologue, while reminding him about the Will Smith slap fiasco during the 94th Academy Awards on March 27, 2022.

“Is Chris Rock mad Jake can take a slap better than him?” MVP wrote. This, of course, is in reference to Mike Tyson slapping Paul during their press conference before the fight when Paul accidentally stepped on Tyson’s toes. Meanwhile, Paul seems to have found a victim for his next fight.

Jake Paul is pressuring this MMA veteran to share the cage with him

Jake Paul is putting pressure on MMA veteran Nate Diaz to share the cage with him in a highly anticipated MMA fight. Paul, who is signed with the PFL for his MMA debut in 2025, has repeatedly called out Diaz, claiming that the Stockton native is “actually scared” to face him in MMA. Paul claimed Diaz is neglecting what would be the biggest payday in his combat sports career, emphasizing the financial opportunity.

However, Diaz isn’t interested in the PFL, responding by saying Paul needs to “Sign the contract Scary and not in 12 months from now and in a s***ty organization.” Despite their past boxing match in August 2023, where Paul won by unanimous decision, Diaz’s reluctance to fight for the PFL could stem from his loyalty to the UFC. While Paul may struggle to secure Diaz as an opponent, he remains determined to make the fight happen, knowing it would draw massive attention.
