Former two-time world heavyweight champion, Mike Tyson is undoubtedly one of the greatest boxers to step foot inside the ring. The raw performances he showcased inside the ring, and his eccentric personality, earned him the moniker, ‘The Baddest Man on The Planet’. It can even be said that Tyson is a true blue pop culture icon, who has spawned everything from action figures to video game characters/skins. With many fans trying to imitate the champ, it looks like Tyson found himself a worthy doppelganger in comedian Kenan Thompson.
Saturday Night Live has long been the mainstay for some of the finest primetime comedy sketches. The recent episode ahead of the 95th Academy Awards was no different. And saw the show mock the infamous slap incident from the previous Oscar Awards show. Notably, the background was a series of celebrity interviews with Access Hollywood‘s Oscars Red Carpet Show.

In the sketch, comedians Marcello Hernandez and Heidi Gardner played the hosts Mario Lopez and Maria Menounos respectively. And went on to call Will Smith out for the incident. Moreover, they further detailed the security measures in place. Menounos said, “This year, to make sure nothing crazy happens. The Academy hired a new head of security: notoriously calm and sane person, Mike Tyson.”
On cue, Thompson proceeded to make an entrance masquerading as the legend. Furthermore, there is no denying that this ‘fake’ Tyson left viewers in splits.
