Jake Paul and Jutta Leerdam’s love story is something straight out of the movies. The couple met unexpectedly on Instagram in 2022 and since then, for them, it has been a beautiful and pleasant ride together. Paul and Leerdam have forged a strong and deep connection and have supported each other in their respective careers enthusiastically.

Leerdam was present at the AT&T Stadium when Jake Paul fought against boxing legend Mike Tyson in a historic fight. She has been supporting Paul at every point in his boxing career. So, it was only right that ‘El Gallo’ reciprocated the gesture. No, he did not travel all the way to Asia to watch her skate her competitors away. However, Jake Paul made sure the speed skater did not feel left out of their Thanksgiving family dinner while away representing her nation on the biggest stage.

Why did Jutta Leerdam skip the Paul family Thanksgiving dinner?

For the past few weeks, Leerdam has been competing in speed skating tournaments all over the world to secure her place in the World Championships next year, thereby securing her position in the 2026 Winter Olympics. The 25-year-old came extremely close to Olympic glory in the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics but had to settle with a silver in the Women’s 1000-meter speed skating event. This time she does not want to leave anything to chance and has been working hard to see her goal through to the end.

The Dutch world champion is without a commercial team this season and has assembled her coaching team by herself. This move has been working for her, as last week, she started her ISU World Cup Speed Skating in Nagano by securing a silver medal in the 100 meters falling behind Japan’s Yukino Yoshida. She also came in second in the 1,500-meter dash behind Japan’s Miho Takagi.

However, despite her busy schedule, she continued her glorious performances during the Thanksgiving weekend and secured a silver medal in the Beijing leg as well, at the same venue where she secured the silver medal in the 2022 Winter Olympics. However, she once again failed to defeat Yoshida, who secured her second consecutive gold.

Leerdam will now get a two-month rest before she will travel to Canada in January for the third leg of the World Cup season. She would like to clinch the gold medal that has avoided her this time.

Even though Jake Paul was not with Leerdam during the event, he has been supporting her constantly. During their Thanksgiving dinner with family, the 27-year-old uploaded a story for his girlfriend as Paul’s mother delivered a heartwarming message to Leerdam.

Jake Paul’s Heartfelt message

While Leerdam was in Beijing skating for her country, the Paul family was enjoying the Thanksgiving dinner together. However, Jake Paul evidently was missing his girlfriend and tried to include her as well, albeit virtually. Paul uploaded a story on Instagram, urging his family to cheer for Leerdam. He exclaimed while raising his glass for the toast, “And one cheer for Jutta,” and his family obliged with a loud cheer, “For Jutta.”

Jake Paul’s elder brother Logan Paul was also in the frame and his mother, Pam Stepnick, made an appearance and stated, “We miss You. We miss you,” in an endearing voice. The message reached Leerdam as she re-shared the story on her profile and wrote, “Jakey always including me ❤️🥰,” sharing her gratefulness.

With a two-month break in front of her, Leerdam will join Jake Paul in Puerto Rico before returning to her training. These past few months have been exhausting for the couple and they would now like to spend the break together.
