Before the bout between Rolly Romero and Isaac Cruz became official, Ryan Garcia announced that he was misinformed there would be a deal between ‘KingRy’ and Rolly. Likewise, Garcia expressed his frustration by stating that his patience was tested. Given Garcia’s public statement, and the announcement of Rolly Romero vs. Isaac Cruz, Bernard Hopkins indirectly claimed Garcia was never promised a fight with Cruz. “You hear other things before it hits social media,” said Hopkins.

The world’s gonna know when that fight happens,” Hopkins promised. “One thing is for sure is that Golden Boy Promotions is going to be consistent. We in for the long haul,” he concluded.
