During the interview with AKHi TV, Gervonta Davis, also known as Tank, was asked about his opinion on the potential fight between Devin Haney and Shakur Stevenson, both of whom he had sparred with. The interviewer questioned Davis on who he thought was the better fighter between the two.
“Tank, I know you see yourself as the guy in the division but for the fight fans out there, you sparred Devin and Shakur and people want to see them fight each other on top rank. Who do you think is the better fighter between those two?” the interviewer asked.
To which Davis responded, “I don’t know, I don’t know, everybody too big, keep talking about these guys.” When the interviewer suggested that Haney and Stevenson were more technical fighters compared to Davis’ explosive style, he still remained non-committal and simply shrugged his shoulders.
