There’s one thing most of the fans agree on, what they saw in Sunrise, Florida’s FLA Live Arena on Sunday night, was miles away from boxing. Floyd Mayweather Jr., fighting the second exhibition match of the year, stood before John Gotti III, a mixed martial artist who switched to being a boxer last year. The eight-round bout between the forty-six-year-old former champion and the thirty-year-old mint-fresh fighter sadly met a deplorable end. But it seems a new chapter is being added to the saga. Nicolette Gotti has now jumped into the ring. But it appears her threats are not aimed at the boxer alone!
It became clear from the first round which way the bout led. Floyd Mayweather Jr. enjoyed his time as he attacked John Gotti III at will. The latter, unable to lodge satisfactory answers to the former champion’s questions, left with few options, leaned on clinches and headlocks. Over the rounds, trash talks continued. Referee Kenny Bayless issued a warning to both boxers in the fifth round.
However, paying no heed to the referee, Mayweather Jr., and Gotti III continued. Finally, having had enough, Bayless stopped the fight as a no-contest. But Gotti III would have none of it and lunged at Mayweather Jr. Soon, the ring was filled with camp followers from both ends. A free-for-all followed. Though the security took out both the fighters, reports of brawls breaking out backstage filled in. The chaos finally ended when police intervened and cleared the arena.

Nicolette Gotti: Is she a boxer?
Post-fight, John Gotti III, through his social media account, reportedly warned Mayweather Jr., “You punk b**ch, Floyd Mayweather, you’re my enemy for life.” Nicolette Gotti, his sister, has now joined him. In 2017, Gotti III debuted as a professional mixed martial artist. He fought for the next three years, amassing a record of five wins against a single reversal. He seems to have taken a break after the loss in 2020 to Nick Alley, only to emerge a professional boxer two years later.
As far as his sister Nicolette Gotti is concerned, there’s no record available to verify her having any experience as a boxer.
Reasons behind her fight challenge to Floyd Mayweather’s daughter and its potential implications
Perhaps taking affront to her brother’s apparent disqualification, the bout, and the ensuing melee, Nicolette Gotti, so the story goes, issued threats to Floyd Mayweather’s family. A former personality at Barstool, Jeff Nadu, tweeted on June 12 what is supposedly the screenshot of Gotti’s message, which she had sent through her Instagram handle @nicolette_gotti. She said, “@floydmayweather, your daughter [was ran] through by [a] animal with 12 different baby mamas – your little circus animal – [your] all a pack of zoo animals…I swear on my kids, I’am coming for your daughter. It may be 2 years, 3 years from now, but I’m coming, c**t.”
