Popular as the training partner of Conor McGregor, the celebrated MMA star, Dillon Danis had also picked up a few of his tactics to enrage the opponent and add some spice to the match prior. What these tactics actually did was land ‘El Jefe’ into legal trouble. He was sued for $150,00 after his brutal trolling of Nina Agdal, Logan Paul‘s fiancée.

Some, including Paul, had predicted the possibility of Danis chickening out of the match owing to the distress the lawsuit caused. How likely is it that the MMA fighter did actually pull out before his debut boxing match? Going by the words of Mike Perry, who is exhilarated and waiting to shower Paul with punches, it seems Danis has now given up on the fight.

To maintain extra caution, Misfits had signed another MMA figure as a backup for Danis in case he withdrew. The fighter in question, Mike Perry had stepped into the UFC hexagon in 2016 against Hyun Gyu Lim and had the referee step in to declare a TKO in his favor. With a record of 14 wins (11 by knockout) and 8 losses in MMA, he chose the Bare Knuckle Boxing Championship to test himself again. Fans were not ready for what was to come next.

Perry has confirmed that he will be jumping into the ring with Logan on the 14th of October in place of Danis. “It’s official guys. I’m in.” Perry dropped the bomb on his X account and left fans dumbfounded. Some are now waiting for the ‘real fight’ while some refuse to believe the last-minute shifting of the tide.

After the absolute slaughter of Agdal’s character online, the Danish model decided it was time to take matters into her own hands. She filed a lawsuit with the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey and asked for a restraining order on her bully. While she demanded $150,000 as compensation, the lawsuit falls even heavier on Danis’ wallet and his mental peace. With an estimated $400,000 worth of lawyer bills, Danis also has people swarming his gym and house deterring him from a focused training.

In a recent podcast, Danis expressed disappointment at the turn of events. The buildup he created was undeserving of such a response according to him. This was Paul’s chance to retaliate and predict Danis cancelling the fight. The fighter however has shunned the rumors. He has asked fans to calm down. He has all plans to show up on the 14th of October to take Logan Paul down.
