Seven division champion Amanda Serrano is now all set to fight and defend her titles against WBC super bantamweight champion, Yamileth Mercado. The two are scheduled to fight as the Showtime event’s co-main feature. Both fighters weighed in two pounds under the 126 lbs limit at yesterday’s event.
Stepping into this fight, Amanda Serrano is the heavy favorite. According to DraftKings Sportsbook, the seven division champ is currently at -2000 to win while Mercado is +1000. A Serrano win by KO, TKO, or DQ is a sizable favorite at -170, followed by a Serrano win by decision at +150.

Amanda Serrano seems confident coming into this fight. She has even promised to outdo and take away the limelight from the super fight between YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul and former five-time UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley.
However, 23-year old WBC super bantamweight champion Yamileth Mercado has not spoken much about her approach and has not portrayed a great deal of confidence. However, Mercado is a competitive athlete and is by no means an easy opponent for Serrano.

Mercado first shot for a vacant WBC FECOMBOX Female Super Bantamweight title in 2017 against Jessica Arreguin Munoz. However, Munoz dominated her opponent and secured a clean unanimous decision.
