Is the $2 million VIP experience for Tyson vs. Paul worth the hype, or just a marketing ploy?

Fighting is also a business at the end of the day. It’s a philosophy that’s best represented by Jake Paul and the same is honed by the Most Valuable Promotions. So, when the promotion embarked on its mission to make the Mike Tyson fight a spectacle, it ended with an idea—a $2 million VIP experience. It’s an experience that is not only limited to ring-side seats.

Tyson vs Paul has captured the fans’ imagination and to serve their interests, the MVP came up with various packages. You could pick the VIP Contender Package, which would have cost you $5k. The trailed experience and prices increased as you moved up, culminating in the Ringside VVIP Package that had a price tag of $20k.

But the $2 million MVP Owner’s Experience dwarfed it all, as it promised, a ringside two-person suite. It also offered you an additional 8 ringside seats, a spot at the weigh-ins, a visit to both fighters’ lockers before the fight, and an in-ring photo after the ring. You would also leave home with a pair of signed gloves from both the boxers.

It was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, and a Los Angeles-based law firm, TorkLaw, claimed rights to it. The national personal injury law firm will not only cherish the perks of the package but also ensure itself enough eyeballs when the fight goes live. You could call it a marketing masterstroke too. Korosh Torkzadeh, a partner at TorkLaw, explained the decision to USA TODAY Sports: “Life and sport often reflect each other in their unpredictability.”

“At TorkLaw, as we spend our days fighting for our clients both inside and outside the courtroom, we see in boxing the same determination required to face life’s toughest battles.” Drawing parallels with fighting, he summed up the law firm’s involvement as a “celebration of the human spirit and the strength.”

Interestingly, the normal tickets for the event ranged from $60 to $5000, as per TicketMaster, depending on the seats’ preference. However, you can stream it live on Netflix if you are a subscriber. But TorkLaw has gone beyond the traditional fan involvement, as explained by Nakisa Bidarian.
