With barely three days left, the excitement for Canelo Alvarez vs. Jermell Charlo is at its peak. And while Alvarez declared that he would exhibit something “different,” Charlo announced that fans would call him “great” and appreciate his skills on the night of 30th September. In this context, it was recently reported that the PPV price of the bout will be $84.99 in the US.
As a result, a number of boxing fans bemoaned the fact that “boxing” was no longer a commodity accessible to the working class people. While US fans were left utterly disappointed with the PPV price, DAZN, on the other hand, dispatched a “gift” for their regular subscribers in the UK.

Christmas came early for DAZN’s UK subscribers with Canelo Alvarez vs. Jermell Charlo

As expected, following this announcement, DAZN subscribers in the UK were more than elated. Likewise, a number of users took to X and shared their views. According to one fan, this is plainly a “gift” by the Undisputed Super Middleweight champion, Alvarez. In this connection, they also called Canelo “the UK slayer“.
However, one informed the public that they planned to “sign up on DAZN with a UK VPN this weekend“. In addition, they joked that they would watch the fight under the alias “Charles Wellington III“.

Meanwhile, one fan reminded the people that non-subscribers would still have to pay a certain amount. In their opinion, “it kind of is like PPV” for them.
But if you aren’t subscribed you’ve got to pay £20 so it kind of is like PPV

On the other hand, one thought DAZN “was meant to be the platform that ended PPVs“.
Not on PPV yay! Almost like Dazn was meant to be the platform that ended PPVs. I like how that is a selling point a lot of the time.

Finally, one lauded the move by DAZN. As per them, “this is fantastic“.
