Chris Eubank Jr. was in the mood to take digs at other boxers ahead of his fight against Liam Smith. The next-gen last fought in January against, ‘Beefy,’ and suffered a defeat via a stoppage in the fourth round. Prior to that, Ebunak Jr. was set to face Conor Benn last year. However, the latter tested positive in his pre-fight drug test, and subsequently, the bout fell through.

This led to a lot of resentment in his heart for his arch-nemesis. Corollary, ahead of his rematch against Smith, the British boxer seized the opportunity to take a dig at boxers who tested positive for banned substances in the past. How did he do it? Let’s find out.

In a Twitter post, Eubank Jr. shared a picture of his drug test sample and asserted himself to be a clean athlete. Intriguingly, he tagged Benn, Dillian Whyte, Robert Helenius, and Alycia Baumgardner in the post.

The tagging of these boxers was a sly dig over their positive drug tests in the past. Benn failed a drug test in 2022. Meanwhile, Whyte tested positive again only recently earlier this month. Helenius, on the other hand, tested positive for banned substances just before his fight against Anthony Joshua. And lastly, Baumgardner tested positive this month as well.

This recent drug test fiasco of some of the notable boxers in the sports urged Eubank Jr. to call them out. On Twitter, he stated, “Another drug test this morning. All these fighters failing tests recently making boxing look bad but don’t worry, there are still clean athletes representing the sport we love”

Moreover, he lives as an example for young boxers to not resort to that route. However, this has not been the only instance the 33-year-old resorted to calling out a boxer publicly for a failed drug test.

Chris Eubank Jr. lashes out at Conor Benn for a failed drug test

Back in July of this year, Benn went on a media scrum to prove his innocence. However, Eubank Jr. did not buy his reasons for the failed drug test and called him out publicly. In a tweet, he stated, “I was 99% sure (Conor Benn) is a cheat but after watching that interview with Piers Morgan now I am 100% sure. Imagine failing two drug tests and then trying to play the victim!? The balls on this kid!! Or should I say..The eggs on him.”
