One of the craziest fight cards of the year takes another bizarre turn of events. They have moved the Triller Fight Club LEGENDS II card across the country. Initially, the main event featured Oscar De La Hoya taking on Vitor Belfort at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

‘The Golden Boy’ Oscar De La Hoya tested positive for Covid-19 and they admitted him to the hospital. Following this news, Evander Holyfield jumped in to replace De La Hoya on short notice to fight Belfort in the main event. The California State Commission could not clear Holyfield to compete, due to his age.

So the event will now take place at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida. Triller has shifted the entire card to Florida to make sure the main event is licensed by the State Commission. The 58-year-old former undisputed cruiserweight and heavyweight champion will take on ‘The Phenom’ Vitor Belfort on September 11.

Holyfield last fought in the ring in 2011 when he beat Brian Nielsen in Denmark. The former champ has been training for a comeback fight against Kevin McBride. However, Triller has postponed the fight on multiple occasions due to various reasons.

Vitor Belfort will be fighting in his second professional boxing bout. His first professional fight took place in 2006 when he knocked out Josemario Neves three times within the very first round to claim his first win. The ruthless Brazilian will look to stay undefeated in his boxing career.

Belfort’s MMA career saw one of the most dominant runs in the Light Heavyweight division and knocked out all his opponents in brutal fashion from 2012 to 2014. However, he has also been the center of some drama due to his use of TRT (Testosterone Replacement Therapy).
