Canelo has signed a two-fight deal with Matchroom’s Eddie Hearn, with Dmitry Bivol and Gennady Golovkin as two opponents. The first fight will happen at 175 lbs but Alvarez vs GGG 3 shall happen at 168 lbs if both fighters win their upcoming bouts.
Alvarez needs to overcome Bivol, while Golovkin needs to beat Ryota Murata on April 9 Well, GGG should cement a dominant win to validate his chances against Alvarez, who is currently super active. So, 2022 can be a pretty busy year for the Mexican superstar.
