In March 2014, he won the WBC Mediterranean Heavyweight title in a split decision victory over Gbenga Oluokun. Fast forward to June 2016, that was when Agit Kabayel won the EBU Heavyweight title in an impressive 7th-round knockout victory against Christian Lewandowski. Kabayel later won the vacant European crown in February 2017 with a 12-round unanimous decision over Herve Hubeaux. Nine months later, he scored his most high-profile victory, a majority decision over perennial contender Derek Chisora. In March 2023, he won the title a second time, via a memorable 3rd round knockout victory over Agron Smakici.
