“When You in This Level You Need…” – Canelo Alvarez on Whether Dmitry Bivol’s Size Will Cause Him Trouble

In a few moments, the Mexican superstar, Canelo Alvarez, will enter the ring against Dmitry Bivol o compete in the light heavyweight division. In his recent interview, he described his view on how will he deal with Bivol’s size during the fight.

When the interviewer from DAZN Boxing said, “You know what I noticed at the press conference, the face-off right? Everybody keeps saying, He’s so big, big, big. But you’re, you’re comfortable fighting big guys and he’s not even the biggest you fought.”

Alvarez gave an optimistic answer to this. He said, “I’m comfortable fighting… anybody, any size.”

This reply from Alvarez indicated that he didn’t think much about his opponent’s size. In the same vein, Bivol’s size will not cause him any problem.

He also added, “My experience and my skills and when you in this level you need to adapt yourself to any style, right, I fought with every styles, every size , so at this point I… can adapt myself.”

The P4P king has a positive mindset on adapting to different weight categories. Thus, he is comfortable hopping to a different weight class.

The physical difference between Canelo Alvarez and Dmitry Bivol

Canelo Alvarez made a debut in professional boxing, he fought with 139 lbs. against Abraham Gonzalez. Now, he has significant career achievements dominating several weight classes.

He is currently the undisputed super-middleweight champion of the world and holds the WBA, WBC, WBO, and IBF titles to his name.

Canelo Alvarez will enter the ring with a height of 173 cm and a reach of 179 cm to fight against Bivol in the light heavyweight division. On the other hand, the Russian boxer is 183 cm in height and has a reach of 183 cm.

Well, if we compare the physical attributes of Alvarez and Bivol there is a great difference between them. Notably, Bivol has an upper hand over Alvarez with regard to greater height and reach.
