Having watched the Hollywood film, Nope, earlier last month, The Maverick took to Twitter to critique the movie and claimed that it was one of the ‘worst’ movies he had ever seen. He did appreciate the actors Jordan Peele and Keke Palmer but also stated where he felt the issues lay with the movie.
“NOPE” is one of the worst movies I’ve seen in a long time.

He even detailed his criticism in a 10-point thread, explaining why he thought the movie was bad. Many did not like the fact that Paul passed a judgment in an area he had little to no experience. This even included the movie’s lead actor, Daniel Kaluuya who came out and addressed Paul’s criticism.
Daniel Kaluuya fires back at Paul
The Marvel star appeared on the radio show Capital FM, where he stated that Paul’s opinion should not matter. He said that the Youtuber had no knowledge about films and thus his opinion should be dismissed. “Why is his opinion top of the tree? … What’s he done in cinema?” he said.

Although there might be some truth to Kaluuya’s statement, Paul does have every right to state his opinion on a public forum. Also, The Maverick does have some knowledge about movies as he is an entertainer himself.
