Joseph Parker might be puzzled after the sudden replacement of his opponent just 2 days before the fight night. Or did he? The WBO Interim World Heavyweight champion was originally scheduled to fight Daniel Dubois in one of the undercard events of Artur Beterbiev vs. Dmitry Bivol’s rematch in Riyadh. However, the fight couldn’t materialize as a viral infection suddenly affected the IBF Heavyweight Champion. However, Joseph Parker is not without options. He is now going on a battle with Martin Bakole, who’s ranked 3 by the IBF.

The fight will surely bring the heat. But do you know what else is the contributing factor to the bout? It’s the entrance music. A perfect walkout song sets the right tone ahead of the showdown. Joseph Parker’s past walkout songs

The 33-year-old had been choosing varieties of genres, each with its unique style. However, we are yet to find out what kind of music and what exact song he is going to use in his February 22 fight in Riyadh. Be it hip-hop, or progressive pop, one thing is for sure: He will bring the fire just like he did all the times before. Remember the 1st-round knockout victory of the South Auckland native over Bowie Tupou? That fight was started with a hip-hop track with an aggressive, motivational tone. It was the famous Hip Hop song called “Can’t Be Touched” by Roy Jones Jr. featuring Magic and Trouble.

Moving forward to 2016, Joseph Parker introduced a new genre, and a new style in his walkout song. He brought in a drum solo and atmospheric vibe. The December victory of Joseph Parker against Andy Ruiz saw him walking out in the song, called “In the Air Tonight” by Phil Collins.

The following year, he introduced back his favorite track “Can’t Be Touched” once again. The song was played in the 2017 showdown of Joseph Parker over Razvan Cojanu for the WBO World Heavyweight title. And the next year again when he squared off and tasted the first defeat of his career against Anthony Joshua, the boxing world saw him walking out with the same track. But the defeat doesn’t indicate the end of the experiment for the walkout songs.
