With 29 straight victories, David Benavidez has established himself as one of the top boxers in modern boxing. He will meet the WBA regular light heavyweight champion David Morrell at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas and a win here can get him a shot at the undisputed light heavyweight champion.

After constantly getting denied opportunities in the super middleweight, Benavidez decided to move up to 175 lbs. A move proven right as he instantly captured the WBC Interim Light Heavyweight championship and is now ready to stake his claims in the big league. For a fighter that has dominated two divisions, the 28-year-old must have amassed a healthy fortune to date. Let’s take a look.

Expectedly, the Phoenix, Arizona native is far away from amassing a net worth similar to his long-time rival Canelo Alvarez. However, he is just 28 years old at the moment and the way he is rising through the ranks, he can reach similar heights in the coming years.

He was one of the youngest world champions in boxing and succeeding against Morrell will grant him an opportunity against either Artur Beterbiev or Dmitry Bivol. A fight that will do wonders for his career and will raise his financial standing even further. The bulk of his net worth came from his fight purses, endorsements, and recent entrepreneurial ventures.

However, his fight against Caleb Plant was his biggest jump in paydays where he earned a total of $3 million, including a share in the pay-per-view buys.
