YouTube star Whindersson Nunes (2-2-1) is days away from his big fight against seasoned Indian boxer Neeraj Goyat (18-4-2). The bout is scheduled to unfold at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas on November 15th on the undercard of the much-anticipated fight between influencer boxer Jake Paul and legendary heavyweight Mike Tyson

While all eyes will be on Paul and Tyson, their fight seems to have lent some public interest to the bouts on the undercard and the fighters appearing in it. 29-year-old Nunes is one of them, as he prepares to lock horns with the vastly more experienced Goyat. Whindersson Nunes Batista was born to parents Valdenice Nunes and Hidelbrando Sousa Batista on the first month of the year, January 5, 1995, in the tropical northeastern region of Brazil known as Palmeira do Piauí. The area’s culture reflects the broader Piauí and Brazilian heritage through its local festivals, music, and cuisine.

Regardless, Nunes achieved fame through his YouTube channel, which at one point became the most subscribed channel in Brazil—he currently has 44.7 million subscribers on YouTube and 58.7 million followers on Instagram, making him one of the biggest internet personalities in the country. Today, he calls himself a YouTuber, comedian, actor, musician, and boxer.

Nunes did this through his comedic timing and style, which resonated with the wider audience, making him a household name in the country. In terms of boxing, Nunes has made his presence known in the influencer boxing scene with several notable fights, which includes his participation in the Kingpyn Boxing High Stakes Tournament.

Nunes spent most of his early life in the naturally beautiful and charming rural town of Bom Jesus, Piauí. Growing up surrounded by hilly terrain and an arid climate, Nunes aspired to produce content on YouTube from a very young age. While he initially faced challenges to get recognition, with his viral parody ‘Alô vó, tô reprovado’ in 2012, his popularity quickly grew.

He would go on to move to Teresina, where his channel continued to flourish. Regardless, not much is known about Nunes’ religion, but most people in the country follow Catholicism, which has been followed in the country since the 16th century. In fact, Brazil boasts the largest number of Catholics in the world, alongside a population of practicing Protestantism and other faiths.
