In one of the biggest fights this year, Canelo Alvarez just beat ‘GGG’ for the second time. With four super middleweight titles on the line, and scheduled for twelve rounds, the fight went the whole distance. Canelo overpowered ‘GGG’ and won the fight via a unanimous decision to defend his belts. Talking about the fight, Alvarez maintained a tall guard and demonstrated fast jabs in the ring. Golovkin occupied the center of the ring and looked for bigger and more accurate shots. There were moments in the match when the duo exchanged heavy shots. Both the fighters used and landed their left hooks to the head.

Following the end of Canelo GGG 3, the UFC welterweight contender, Jorge Masvidal, took to Facebook and said, “#Canelo and #GGG put on a great fight. Along with his comments, Masvidal shared an article titled ‘Canelo Beats Golovkin in Wild Back And Forth Battle’. After Masvidal’s said comment, fans took the stage to themselves and replied.

Although ‘GGG‘ was 40 years old coming into this fight, Alvarez was 32 and therefore had a swarm of expectations around him. Following Masvidal’s take on Canelo Alvarez vs. Gennady Golovkin III, fans either contested the viewpoint or proposed a detailed analysis of their own.

Similarly, Yzzua Ojert commented by saying, “Canelo beat an old man, and people go all crazy thinking he just beat a GGG in his prime…smh! Still at 40 he couldn’t knock him out like he said he was…”
In the same vein Karl Stout said, “Canelo could not knock down or KO a 40 Year old GGG Canelo is lucky he did not face a prime GGG.”
And lastly, Chris Carpenter added, “Smells like he learnt from Mayweather to box people out of their prime.”
