The hangover after the historic Amanda Serrano-Eric Cruz is still not over yet and meanwhile, ESPN has released their best pound-for-pound female boxer. However, the boxing community is not happy with the list, and this has caused a stir among fans.
World’s largest sports media house, ESPN, every year, makes the list of the best pound-for-pound boxers, and this year is no exception to that. ESPN’s boxing division, ESPN Ringside, has released the list, today. The list is of the top ten best female boxers in the pound-for-pound category. Claressa Shields topped the list and followed by Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano among others. However, some fans were not happy with the list.
Claressa Shields tops the list

Undisputed world champion, Claressa Shields have topped the list for ESPN Ringside. In her last fight, she secured victory over Ema Kozin on February 5.

For the second spot, there is the most famous fighter in women’s boxing, Katie Taylor. She had her last fight with Amanda Serrano and defeated her to be in the second position.
Amanda Serrano secured the third spot. She sealed the position by defeating Eric Cruz in her last fight. After winning the fight with Cruz, she became the first fighter in Puerto Rican history to be an undisputed boxer in the featherweight category. She also became the champion in seven different weight classes.
The other spots are occupied by Alycia Baumgardner in fourth place, Jessica McCaskill in fifth, then Mikaela Mayer grabbed the sixth position, Chantelle Cameron secured the seventh position and Seniesa Estrada stands in eighth place. The ninth and tenth spots were grabbed by Franchon Crews Dezurn and Natasha Jonas respectively.

Although everyone’s list of top 10 boxers in the women’s category will be different, but all the boxers are worthy enough to be on the list based on their excellent display in the boxing ring.
