The victory for ‘The Monster’ was an easy one after he thoroughly outclasses Butler, knocking him out in the 11th round to become the champ. Moreover, this was his 19th championship bout in 24 professional fights as he came out still undefeated after securing the victory.

This was not all as fans also reacted to his emphatic victory.

Moreover, fans had some harsh words for the loser as they felt that the boxer did not perform to his capabilities.

Fans react to Naoya Inoue becoming the undisputed bantamweight champion

One fan was shocked at seeing Butler survive 11 round and stated that he had never seen anything like this before.

Another fan took shots at Matchroom CEO Eddie Hearn. He claimed that while Top Rank delivered the first undisputed champion, Hearn put on IBF female bantamweight champion Ebanie Bridges on his card.

One fan called Butler’s performance ’embarrassing’ and stated that a journeyman would have put on a better show.

Moreover, while one fan praised Inoue’s performance, he was also quick to criticize Butler’s performance stating that it was a ‘disgrace’ to the sport.

One fan even went as far as stating that Butler looked like a punching bag despite being a world champion. He also went on to shower Inoue with praise for his performance.

Despite praising Inoue for his dominant performance, the fans felt that Butler could have easily put up a more competitive fight. However, the fact of the matter is that Inoue is now a three-division champion and will now look to make it four to cement his name in the sport’s legacy.

Inoue reveals his plans to move up in weight

Following this victory ‘The Monster’ confirmed that he would be moving up in weight. He now intends to compete in the super-bantamweight division looking to become a four-division champion.

He would have to now go through either Stephen Fulton or Murodjon Akhmadaliev who are the current champions at 122 pounds. Fulton is the WBO and WBC champion while Akhmadaliev is the WBA and IBF champion.

If he could capture a title at 122 pounds, he will become a four-division champion. This puts him halfway through to Manny Pacquiao’s record of being a champion in 8 divisions. A record that he certainly will look to break in the future.
