After the controversial victory against Vasyl Lomachenko, Devin Haney faced two choices. One was to stay in the same weight division and defend his title against Shakur Stevenson, the other was to move up in the division and fight Regis Prograis. Though talks of his fight with Stevenson started, they fell apart after they couldn’t come to terms with their agreement over the pay split.
So even though Lomachenko was constantly pushing for a rematch and Stevenson was calling him out, Haney made the decision to finally move up in weight. And now it seems that the fight is all set and ready to take place. Notably, both fighters have also been going back and forth on social media over the contract dispute previously. And Prograis has even shared his frustration at the fight not being made. Speaking on the matter, boxing promoter Eddie Hearn recently made some huge revelations.
