The WBO welterweight champ, Terence Crawford will have to mandatorily face the fellow welterweight sensation, Shawn Porter, for his next title defense.
Earlier, Crawford’s team was in talks to align him with any other contender in the division. But the WBO themselves have ordered ‘Bud’ to take on Porter and signify his spot as the prime king of the 147-pound division.
Although Crawford is ready to roar against Porter for his return, his team is still optimistic about bagging a fight with either Errol Spence Jr. or Manny Pacquiao.

Recently, Crawford’s trainer, Brian McIntyre, spoke to World Boxing News on his fighter’s recent boxing run.
He said, “It’s go time. Now there will be no doubt that Bud [Crawford] is 147-pound supreme. After beating [Shawn] Porter we want the winner of [Errol] Spence-[Manny] Pacquiao.” (h/t ESPN Ringside)
The hardcore boxing lovers have always drawn significant comparisons between Crawford and Spence Jr. Everyone is eager to see a fight between these two in the coming time.
A few months ago, Crawford’s team was also in talks to stage a mighty fight with ‘The Truth’. However, this bout couldn’t reach fruition, and the boxing lovers were again left disheartened.

Regardless of this, Crawford was getting set to face the Filippino Senator Manny Pacquiao. But this fight also failed to materialize.
That said, after much rigmarole, Crawford now finally seems in for his fight with Shawn Porter. But with his trainer’s above comments, it seems that a Spence Jr. or Pacquiao fight is still in the pipeline.
Will Terence Crawford really get to face the winner of Manny Pacquiao vs Errol Spence Jr.?
‘Bud’ has always remained assertive on fighting the best contenders of the welterweight division. That said, more than anyone else, he’d be keen to fight Manny Pacquiao or Errol Spence Jr.

Because he abruptly knows a fight with either of these two will help him chalk out his career in the finest way possible.

Moving further, the Pacquiao vs Spence Jr. fight will truly be the decider. And once Crawford gets past Shawn Porter, he will unquestionably look to stage a cosmic fight with the two stalwarts. It’ll be interesting to see how things shape up in the welterweight roster.
