Ahead of the mentioned bout, the former opponent of Oleksandr Usyk, Anthony Joshua offered his opinions about Usyk vs. Dubois. Having fought Usyk twice in the ring, Joshua understands Usyk’s strength well. Likewise, in his recent interview with Sky Sports, Joshua revealed what Dubois should expect.
Although in popular opinion, Usyk exceeds Dubois in terms of skill and experience, Joshua believes Dubois might potentially win against the Ukrainian and bring the heavyweight titles back to British soil. However, Joshua, who wishes to fight Usyk one day in a trilogy, also implied that the Ukrainian would have an advantage against Dubois. Here is what the former unified Heavyweight champion said.

Hopeful Anthony Joshua believes Daniel Dubois has a chance against Oleksandr Usyk
On being asked if Dubois had a chance against Usyk, Anthony Joshua replied in the affirmative. “Of course, he has. Look, it’s a tough ask, but of course,” announced Joshua. Along these lines, Joshua who once branded Usyk “a really good operator”, praised the latter’s skills. “The thing with Usyk is he doesn’t depend on his power to knock you out. He depends on his skills,” added Joshua who had a meltdown following his second defeat to Usyk.

Joshua understands the genius of Usyk. In fact, despite losing twice against Usyk, he wishes to “relish the opportunity to fight him again”. Knowing how good Usyk actually, is Joshua admitted that the Ukrainian boxer would try to out-box Dubois. Likewise, he said, “That’s why it’s a tough ask because he’s going to box rings around you.” Having said that, Joshua wished Dubois luck.

Joshua wishes Dubois and Great British Boxing luck
Despite knowing Usyk’s ability, Joshua feels Dubois just might become the new unified Heavyweight champion of the world. Likewise, he said, “Dubois, good luck. Great British Boxing, good luck. We potentially might have a heavyweight championship back on our soil,” he concluded.
