Floyd Mayweather currently holds the title of the richest boxer in the world and is miles ahead of his counterparts in terms of financial success. ‘Money’ has become the face of modern boxing and is still relevant in the sport even after retiring from it back in 2017. The majority of Mayweather’s wealth can be attributed to his smart investments during the boxing days that are rewarding him now.

Moreover, it seems like Mayweather has found another way to earn some quick bucks just by leveraging his name. In an interview with Forbes, the former 4-division champ revealed that he earns a whopping $1 million just by attending dinners across the world. Mayweather was asked by Forbes’ Jabari Young what his life was like after retirement. ‘TBE’ then stated that he was indeed enjoying his retirement, making money off of his investments.

“I’m glad I was able to make smart investments and just make you know, like I said, hundreds of thousands and millions on the daily. Yesterday was a good day made a million dollars yesterday,” said Mayweather.
Shocked by this, Young then asked him how he made a million dollars in just one day. Mayweather then revealed that he just went to dinners across the globe, interacting with prominent people and making millions of dollars in the process. “You know we made a million yesterday. We made a million today. We set up another just a small deal, nothing major. We just do dinners worldwide and make millions just doing dinners.” He added.

Is Floyd Mayweather bankrupt?
Since his retirement from boxing, Mayweather has competed in exhibition bouts, earning him some money even though it is far from his paychecks as a professional boxer. However, YouTube sensation Jake Paul recently claimed that ‘Money’ was broken and about to declare bankruptcy. In an interview with Rob Moore, Paul stated that Mayweather had probably spent all of his money on women and parties. “Floyd Mayweather is broke. I’ve been saying it all along. I think he probably spent it on the girls he pays to be around him.” said Paul.

However, this is only speculation, as Paul does not have any proof that Mayweather is strapped for cash. This statement seems even more sketchy, as Jake’s brother Logan Paul has accused ‘Money’ of not paying him for their exhibition bout in 2021.
