David Benavidez has been repeatedly disappointed by the Mexican Icon Canelo Alvarez. ‘The Mexican Monster’ held nothing back as he reportedly even offered him around $50 million dollars for the fight. However, the champion spared him no glance and his promoter even denied receiving any offer. However, it seems that there is another option already available for the young boxer. Soon after his fight against Yamaguchi Falcao concluded, David Morrell called out David Benavidez. And now it seems Benavidez has taken the bait and stepped up to the challenge.

Sampson Lewkowicz told Fight Freaks Unite, “We have an agreement. This is the plan”. Furthermore, he claimed that Morrell would prove to be a bigger challenge to Benavidez than Canelo. He claimed that the undisputed champion would not make it past six rounds against Benavidez.
