It’s been a day since Anthony “Pretty Boy” Taylor lost his fourth boxing bout to the “The Bodybreaker” Idris Virgo. However, most boxing enthusiasts might recollect “The Pretty Boy” from the Floyd Mayweather Jr. – Deji Olatunji exhibition in Dubai.

First, he managed to attract attention by talking out loud during Mayweather’s press conference. Soon he followed it up with an out-of-the-ring wrestling duel with Jack Fincham, his boxing opponent for the event. For the new year, his campaign commenced at the OVO Arena in Wembley, London. His opponent is a former reality show participant and a fitness and health influencer, Idris Virgo. But, as much as the match’s outcome sank in, “The Pretty Boy” made it a point to let loose the table of upcoming events, especially the next one that might turn quite a few heads!

Former track athlete and now a television presenter Jo Ankier caught up with the American post-fight. She started with his views on the fight and what went wrong. “The Pretty Boy” explained his version of the story. He added that while his goal remains to fight KSI and Floyd Mayweather, staying put till the last round against a boxer with a 12-0 record speaks much about his strength.

Ankier asked, “So what do you do now to get to KSI to Mayweather?” And Taylor mentioned that he would be reaching out to KSI and Floyd Mayweather Jr., especially since the latter is still active in the exhibition circuit.

The former track runner enquired about his view on the Mayweather – Deji fight, and the former mixed martial artist said, “I think it was I think it was a sham I wasn’t impressed with Floyd I think Floyd needs competition.”

When Jo Ankier checked for his next plan of action, Taylor responded, Oh, it took about a week off, take some time off, let my body heal, went to a gruesome training camp, and then get back in a week and a half later hopefully that me, and Floyd can fight it fighting uh on the 25th of February.”

Taken aback at the revelation, she asked again, “25th, you’ve got a date you got a date?”

And the American shot off, We have a date in mind that’s it’s up to Floyd if he’s gonna sign that contract.”

Ankier wanted to know the stage at which the discussion was currently and whether it would happen for real. And the former mixed martial artist turned pro-boxer replied that Mayweather’s manager had touched base with his team, who also responded likewise. Per Taylor, Floyd Mayweather is keen on fighting him,”…and he’s very interested in fighting me.”

Anthony “Pretty Boy” Taylor was present to face off against Idris Virgo. Their exhibition bout was one of the main events of the main card. Per schedule, Misfits Promotion’s boss, YouTuber-turned-boxer KSI, had a fight against mixed martial artist Dillon Danis. However, the latter pulled off at the last moment, and in his place, Thomas “Temperrr” Oliveira joined.

While KSI won his bout with an easy first-round knockout, the story went far off the expectations for the American Anthony Taylor. The two had an uneasy exchange of words during weigh-ins on Friday, but things heated up with the first bell on Saturday.

Taylor stalked for a reasonable time to land a hard left hook. But most of his jabs and kicks went for a miss due to Virgo’s superior ring tactics. The latter eventually knocked “The Pretty Boy” down during the third round. By the end, as it became too hard for him to handle, Taylor labored, thoroughly exhausted. Virgo finally won decisively.
