Terence Crawford is over the moon, he has managed to prove himself with his most recent victory against long-time rival Errol Spence Jr. recently. With the win, he has proven that he is levels above the boxers in the same category as him. All eyes are on him, fighters like Keith Thurman, and Jaron Ennis are lined up to face the new champion. With Ennis being the IBF mandatory and Thurman wanting a piece of the pie, the champion is currently highly sought after.

However, in a recent interview with HOT 97, ‘Bud’ stated that he believes a fight against Ennis can be made, but he wants to look for bigger opportunities. The fighter he wants to face next is Jermell Charlo. Even after his bout against ‘The Truth’, he leaned over the ropes and told Jermell Charlo, “You’re next.” In the interview, he stated that currently he sees no fight of the level of Spence-Crawford bout other than a fight against Canelo Alvarez.

However, he also added that he doesn’t see that taking place for now. It is important to note that ‘Iron Man’ is currently preparing to face Canelo. He is jumping two weight classes for the upcoming bout. As a clip of the interview appeared on Instagram, fans had mixed reactions to the news.

Fans held mixed feelings about the bout. Meanwhile, LoyaltyAli18 added, “We don’t wanna hear about none of this until after the canelo/charlo fight.” However, Anthony Horne stated that he wants this fight to happen rather than the Canelo bout. He stated, “Fight should happen now! Canelo punk ass supposed to be fighting Benevidez”.

Not Actually James Royall wrote, “Bud puts Charlo in a body bag, dawg. I think Spence bodies Mell Charlo too frfr.” Another fan, Johnathen Ashley Davis-Green claimed, “Charlo don’t want the smoke. He ain’t coming back down to 154 after his fight with Canelo.”
