Ryan Garcia may have to put his plans of fighting Gervonta Davis on hold for now. Garcia called out  ‘Tank’ after his victory over Luke Campbell and has wanted the fight for a while. However, things may get a little complicated for the youngster.

His victory over Campbell made him the WBC Interim lightweight champion. Naturally, he became mandatory for Devin Haney who is the WBC champion. Despite this, his desire lies in fighting Davis who is the WBO lightweight champion.

He wrote on his Twitter, “WBC president Mauricio Sulaiman has confirmed they are going to order Devin Haney vs Ryan Garcia in the coming days.”

Benson also confirmed when fans can expect an announcement. “He said they will give Garcia a little bit of time to celebrate his win in peace and will then send out the letters to start negotiations.”  ‘Kingry’ will not mind this since he called out Haney too.
