Recently, ‘The Bronze Bomber’ took it to Instagram to congratulate Giannis Antetokounmpo for his very first NBA championship win. Antetokounmpo also won the Most Valuable Player award for the finals. And Wilder, in his message, congratulated him for the same.

He wrote, “Congratulations @giannis_an34 on your first NBA championship and Finals MVP. Way to dominate champ.”

Wilder is involved in his preparations for the trilogy fight against Tyson Fury. However, he took out some valuable time in between to laud the rising NBA star.

Now, the Alabama native will transition all of his focus to his boxing regimes. Earlier, his fight with Fury was set to take place this weekend. However, as the Brit and his team members tested positive for Covid-19, this bout got pushed to October 9th instead.

Although this fight has a substantial time to come to life, Wilder still won’t hamper his training sessions by any means. In fact, he’s got more time now to sharpen up his skills and eventually present his best self on October 9.

Ever since his brutal loss to ‘The Gypsy King’, the only fight Wilder asked for was a trilogy war with his foe. Now that he’s aligned to face the Brit for the third time, he will look to make the most out of this opportunity.

Also, this is a career-defining fight for the American boxer. Hence, more than belts, it’ll be vital for him to cement his legacy and resurrect his professional boxing run. With that, it’ll be interesting to see how the ex-champ fares in the toughest test of his boxing career.
